& Better Healthy Aging Program encourages people over the age
of 50 in local communities to take action to improve their health and well-being.
There is NO joining fee, however we ask you to complete a membership form for insurance purposes and YOUR activity interests. |

60 & Better is based on a community development philosophy which gives older people the choices and opportunities to work together for improvement in their own health and for the health of people in their area. | ||
| The program focases on involving older people in making healthy decisions and ensures that people receive relevant, accurate and appropriate health-related information. 60 & Better Programs are managed by older people. | ![]() |

Programs have the assistance of a coordinator | ||
| Committees meet regularly to plan activities, discuss health issues and decide on directions for the program. Funding is managed by a nominated, incorporated and community based organisation or local Government authority | ![]() |

All 60 & Better activities have an emphasis on keeping the body and mind fit and active. They encourage new experiences, new friendships and open opportunities for new learning. | ||
| Each 60 & Better Program designs its own Healthy Aging Newsletter which is full of health information and gives details of activities in each area. | ![]() |

60 & Better groups regularly meet with each other and have developed a strong network throughtout Queensland | ||
